Mâcon in the Burgundy region of France, Chasselas
is the most cultivated wine in Switzerland. It is a
fresh, light wine, ideal as an aperitif. Goes well with
fres-water fish, cheese dishes and smoked dishes. It
can also accompany crayfish and milder ocean fish, such
as mullet (rouget). To be drunk the first year, at 8-10
degrees C.
