ell known in Alsace these
grapes come from the south of Tyrol. A distinctive
spiciness is common to every vinous interpretation of
this grape. Most display a touch of sweetness, although
dry styles are becoming more and more popular. Good
accompaniment to spicy food and strong cheeses
(Munster, Roquefort, fresh goat cheese) or foie gras.
Late harvest versions are sweet, lush and thick, and
can be served as dessert itself or with chocolate
pastry. Can be kept up to 5 years. To drink at 8-10
degrees C.
