Present in Geneva for several decades, it has adapted particularly well to our climate. It gives tannic wines but more supple than the Cabernets. Usually quite intensely coloured, it will show beautiful shades of red and purple.<br \/>\nThe Merlot is suitable for vinification in vats as well as for maturing in barrels.
