Coteau de Chalamont
The Charmont grape variety comes from a cross between the Chasselas and Chardonnay grape varieties. Charmont’s varietal wines are elegant and fruity while keeping the Chasselas fresh.
On the nose: notes of minerality but the fruitiness is dominant.
On the palate: in the Charmont a part of the velvety Chardonnay. The main notes are peach and pineapple.
Food and wine pairing:
The Coteau de Chalamont is a wine is ideally served as an aperitif. However, like Chasselas, it will also go very well with fondue or raclette.
