Le Gamaret est un cépage assez récent à l’échelle de la viticulture. Created in 1970 at the Federal Research Station in Pully by crossing Gamay and Reichtensteiner (a white grape variety of German origin), it was first used as a blending wine. But its advantages as a wine grape variety in its own right were soon spotted. It was in the early 1990s that it took off in Geneva. Its cousin, Garanoir, is also derived from the same cross.
Dégustation:
Au nez : fruits rouges et noirs tels cerise et framboise. Epices. Légère notes boisées. Caramel.
En bouche : la bouche est structurée et les tannins présents mais fondus. Le boisé est également présent mais ne masque pas le fruit.

Le Gamaret est un vin rouge de gastronomie qui accompagnera très bien vos viandes rouges mais également la chasse ou le gibier.
