Scheurebe is a grape variety of German origin. It comes from a cross between Riesling and an unknown wild variety (or Sylvaner according to the sources). This cross was made in 1916 by Dr. Scheu who will then give his name to the grape variety he had just created.
Little present in Switzerland, it was planted for the first time in Dardagny in the early 1990s. A few years later, he appeared in our field for our greatest pleasure.
On the nose: the nose is somewhat reminiscent of a Sauvignon Blanc with its passion fruit aromas. The aromatic intensity is remarkable.
In the mouth: dry wine (without residual sugars) it has a nice freshness and a nice balance in the mouth.
It may surprise you with asparagus, even if its favorite area is the aperitif.
