Scheurebe

CHF 16.00 tax incl.

Scheurebe is a grape variety of German origin. It is a cross between Riesling and Bukettraube (itself a cross between Sylvaner and Trollinger). This cross was made in 1916 by Dr. Scheu who will then give his name to the grape variety he had just created.

It is quite uncommon in Switzerland, and was planted in Dardagny for the first time in early 1990. A few years later it appeared in our own domain, for our greatest pleasure.

Tasting Notes:
Bouquet: Somewhat recalls that of a Sauvignon Blanc with its aromas of passion fruit. The aromatic intensity is remarkable.
Palate: Vinified dry (without residual sugar) it has a lovely freshness and a nice balance in the mouth.

Wine pairing:
It may surprise you with asparagus, even if its favorite area is the aperitif.
